Not Johnny Band was formed by a couple of friends from Northern Kentucky. Made up of music industry veterans Dave Loerich, Duane Cottle, Greg Van Scoy and Chris Paxson, this band features a husband-and-wife lead singing combo John (Not Johnny) and Carol (CC) Sprinkle.
Vocals: Carol, a former Ben-Gal Cheerleader, has performed in multiple shows throughout Cincinnati, including Sin City Burlesque, and the James Brown Tribute show. Carol also performed in the Cincinnati Opera's 'Romeo & Juliet'. Carol Joined Not Johnny in 2020 and had been a crowd favorite ever since, bringing talent and fashion to the stage!
Vocals: John, the band front man, brings energy and entertainment to the crowd, while singing popular tunes and encouraging fans to sing and dance. A newcomer to the music scene, John acts as the band manager when not on stage.
Lead Guitar: Greg has preformed on big stages and tiny dives all over the Cincinnati Tri-State while playing classic R&B with the Everyday People Band; blues, rock & soul with Amy & The Arrangement; classic rock with The Trouble with Tina Band; blues with The Big Trouble Blues Band; and classic country/Americana with the Last Caballeros.
Rhythm Guitar: Duane has performed at venues like Radio City Music Hall, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and the US Air Force Academy chapel. During his years serving our country in the US Navy, Duane played bass and sang with the group Barsinister, on the USS Monterey during Desert Storm, before relocating to Kentucky and joining Not Johnny!
Drums: When Dave was ten he heard the drum into to Sing Sing Sing by Gene Krupa and was hooked for life. Dave has been blessed to play over the years with fantastic musicians and friends. Highlights include a 2003 trip to Ukraine for eleven days playing several cities and events with the Band "Suspect" and a 2015 tour with "Jamison Road" in support of their two original albums.
Bass: Chris is another veteran of the local music scene. Chris's father Darrell, also a bass player, played a large role in Chris’ early musical development. Much of Chris’ musical foundation was laid when he observed his father's band as a kid. When his “old man” ultimately retired from the music business, he gave Chris his bass and Chris took it from there, playing bass and singing in multiple bands over the past 30 years!
